Paris Saint-Germain are closing in on Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria, with a loan fee of €10m looking to have done the trick in the race for the Argentina winger.

The French champions have been battling against UEFA financial fair play rules to do a deal for Di Maria, as Manchester United wait in the wings ready to pounce.

PSG have already been fined €60m by UEFA and had their squad size limited to 21 players for the Champions League, something which means they are putting back expenditure this summer to next summer in order to comply with the rules.

According to French broadcaster Eurosport, Laurent Blanc's men are now offering Real Madrid a loan fee of €10m for Di Maria, with a mandatory purchase option next summer, all adding up to a fee which could hit €65m for the former Benfica man.

PSG have already been forced to resort to a loan with a mandatory purchase option to sign right-back Serge Aurier from Toulouse this summer, a €9.5m fee for the 21-year-old being postponed to next year.
