Bundesliga side Wolfsburg are making a move for Lille striker Salomon Kalou, as they bid to add to their attacking firepower before the transfer window slams shut.
Lille are willing to sell Kalou for the right price and are thought to be looking for €5m to part with the former Chelsea star.
Yesterday Scottish champions Celtic were linked with pondering a move for the 29-year-old, but the Bhoys will face fierce opposition from Wolfsburg if they firm up their interest.
According to French daily La Voix du Nord, the Wolves have started talks with Lille over snapping up Kalou.
The Bundesliga side have been encouraged after an enquiry made to Lille met with a positive response.

Wolfsburg recently signed former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner on a free transfer, but feel more attacking power is needed as they bid to break into the Bundesliga's top four this season.
Kalou struck 16 times in all competitions in his first season for Lille in 2012/13, while last term he managed 18 goals.
However, Lille are ready to part with the Ivorian, despite his goal return.
