Bruno Martins Indi, who has been linked with Manchester United, says he is enjoying playing at a higher level after his summer move to FC Porto from Feyenoord.

Martins Indi was one of the stars of the Dutch national team that finished third in the World Cup and was one of the sought-after defenders in the transfer window.

And FC Porto stole a march on their rivals when they managed to snare the 22-year-old stopper from Feyenoord in the summer.

Moving from the Dutch league to the Portuguese league, Martins Indi admits that it is definitely a step up for him in his career.

He also explained that the level of football and the training methods are a lot different than those he encountered in the Netherlands.

“I personally think that the level in Portugal is higher”, the defender told RTV Rijnmond.

“Training methods involve more ball-work and here we are working more as a team than a bunch of individuals.”

Martins Indi has made 10 appearances for FC Porto so far this season and also has 25 international caps to his name for the Netherlands.
