Alexis Sanchez is a winner, who cannot even stomach defeat in training, Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has revealed.

Arsenal snapped Sanchez up from Barcelona this summer, shelling out €38m to capture the Chile international, with eyebrows raised in many quarters over the Blaugrana agreeing to his sale.

Sanchez has quickly settled at Arsenal and scored four goals for the club last month, form he will be looking to build upon in November.

He has also made a big impact on his team-mates, with Mathieu Flamini comparing Sanchez to club legend Thierry Henry.

Szczesny is also impressed, especially with the forward's winning mentality and hatred of losing.

"Alexis hates defeat, even in training", the goalkeeper told L'Equipe.

"If he loses a match, he will take the ball past everyone and score!"

Arsenal will hope Sanchez is again on target later today when they host Burnley at the Emirates Stadium in a Premier League clash.
