Marseille are keeping a close watch on Celtic striker John Guidetti as they look to tempt him to the Stade Velodrome for next term.

Guidetti is on a season-long at Celtic from English champions Manchester City, however with his contract at the Etihad Stadium expiring at the end of the season, a scramble for his services is threatening to break out.

Celtic boss Ronny Deila, hugely impressed by the impact that Guidetti has had at Paradise, wants to keep him on a permanent basis. But the Norwegian has been left frustrated as Guidetti drags his feet, waiting to see what other offers come his way.

According to French outlet Eurosport, Marseille are continuing to keep tabs on Guidetti, with the Ligue 1 giants having regularly scouted him this term.

He has also been linked with several other sides, including Feyenoord and Southampton, and looks set to have a number of options in the summer.

It remains to be seen whether Celtic will hold on for Guidetti or instead begin to identify alternative targets for the summer window.

The Swedish striker was prolific when he first arrived at Paradise, but has found hitting the back of the net a much more difficult affair in recent weeks.
