Chile midfielder Charles Aranguiz admits that signing for Arsenal would be a dream, but claims to know nothing about talk the Gunners want to snap him up in the summer.

Arsene Wenger's side have been credited with holding an interest in the midfielder, who currently plies his trade in Brazil for Internacional.

Wenger is thought to be a firm fan of Aranguiz, with an offer for the international said to be being prepared by the Gunners.

For the midfielder, the chance to link up with international team-mate Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates Stadium is the stuff of dreams. However, he cannot shed any light on just how accurate talk that Arsenal want to sign him is.

"I don't know anything about [interest from] Arsenal", he was quoted as saying by Tutto Mercato.

"I have heard about it through the media, but no one has come to me.

"They are a great team and it would be a dream to play there, but for now it is still a dream."

The 25-year-old midfielder has never played his club football outside of South America and joined current club Internacional only last year.

Aranguiz turned out for Chile in last summer's World Cup in Brazil.
