Ahead of Sunday’s clash against Chelsea, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has delivered an update on his squad.

At a pre-match press conference Rodgers declared that his squad remains largely the same from the one that played Queens Park Rangers last weekend.

"The squad is pretty much the same”, the manager was quoted as saying by his club’s site.

Mamadou Sakho, who has missed Liverpool’s last four Premier League outings owing to a hamstring strain, remains unavailable, and Mario Balotelli’s fitness will be assessed prior to the weekend clash before a decision is made on his participation.

“Sakho won't be available and Mario has trained the last couple of days and we'll see how he is for the weekend”, Rodgers added.
