Ronald Koeman has revealed that Southampton have not had a serious bid from Manchester United for midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.

The France international has been strongly linked with heading to Old Trafford and said last week that he expects his future to be resolved this week, in a clear hint at a move away from St. Mary's Stadium.

But if the Red Devils are closing on Schneiderlin then they have yet to work out a deal with Southampton.

Koeman was quoted as saying by the Press Association: "We have the situation with Morgan Schneiderlin, we will have to wait [to see] what will happen.

"Until now, we have not had a serious bid for him from Man United", the Dutch manager added.

Schneiderlin is keen to move on from Southampton this summer as he looks to ensure he is playing Champions League football next season.

The midfield enforcer wanted to leave the Saints last summer and was strongly linked with both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotapur.

However, Southampton vowed not to sell and the Frenchman stayed put, producing a highly productive campaign which further boosted his standing in English football.
