Inter Milan winger Xherdan Shaqiri is unconvinced about moving to Stoke City this summer.

The Potters have reportedly agreed a €17m fee with Inter for the transfer of the Swiss international to the Britannia Stadium.

The Nerazzurri are ready to offload the winger, who has scored just once since joining the club in January from Bayern Munich, to make away for fresh faces in the squad.

Though both clubs have seemingly reached an agreement over the player, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Shaqiri himself is unwilling to move to England with Stoke.

The player was wanted by Liverpool in January but he decided against moving to the Premier League in favour of Inter and he is still not sure about accepting a transfer to an English club.

Stoke City representatives are set to contact the player’s entourage in the next few hours to convince the Swiss international to accept a transfer to the Britannia Stadium this summer.

Mark Hughes wants to add Shaqiri’s flair to his Stoke team as he looks to build on an impressive end to their last campaign.

The 23-year-old’s contract with Inter runs until the summer of 2019 and it remains to be seen whether he will have a change of heart over moving to the Potteries.
