Serbia international striker Aleksandar Mitrovic may sign for Newcastle United tomorrow after growing tired of waiting for Roma to do a deal to snap him up.

The Magpies have been pushing to sign Mitrovic, but the striker has been stalling on putting pen to paper to see if Roma can reach an agreement with Anderlecht.

According to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, Mitrovic can now wait no longer and is ready to take a firm decision over his future tonight after growing frustrated at the non-progress made by Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini.

And that may result in the Serbia striker opting to sign for Newcastle tomorrow.

Roma's primary attacking target has been Manchester City's Edin Dzeko, with the Giallorossi being ready to turn to Mitrovic if they fail to sign the Bosnian.

But their time has run out due to the patience of the player also reaching its limit.

Mitrovic had been thought to be keen on Roma as they can offer him Champions League football for next season, while Newcastle have no European football on the agenda.

But now the Serbian could be poised to link up with Steve McClaren's men.
