Uwe Rosler has praised Steve Morison's performance for Leeds United in their friendly against Eintracht Frankfurt earlier today.

Morison opened the scoring in the fixture in Austria, getting on the end of a cross from Sam Bryam to fire into the back of the net in the 26th minute, putting Leeds ahead against the run of play.

The Bundesliga side bounced back with two second half goals to seal a 2-1 win, but Rosler was happy with the workout his players had been given on a hot and humid Austrian evening.

And Morison, who struggled to score goals for the Whites last term, met with praise from the head coach, who feels he has the experience to know what to do in every situation.

"He was leading the line very well and has experience in when to press, when to drop, when to flick on, when to hold", Rosler explained to LUTV.

"And obviously he scored a goal. He had a good game."

Morison did his case for a starting spot in the new Championship campaign no harm, especially in the absence of new summer signing Chris Wood, who missed out with an injury niggle.

The striker managed 71 minutes against Eintracht Frankfurt before being replaced by Souleymane Doukara.
