Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller has brushed off being linked with a €100m move to Manchester United.

Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal has been chasing Muller this summer and the club's latest bid for the Germany international is reported to be €85m.

Muller has been linked with a €100m move, but the forward himself believes such figures, though typical for football at present, are "crazy".

The Bayern Munich star also believes the fees being paid must be seen in the light of a business transaction, rather than having any bearing on the player as a human being.

"The kinds of figures that are wandering around in the world of football are generally crazy. That's what the business is like", Muller told Sport 1.

"But it isn't the human being who is worth €100 million, it's only a trade amount.

"That's why I'm quite relaxed about it", Muller continued.

"In Dresden I was asked by a fan with a megaphone recently: 'Hey, Mr 100-million-man, what's your shirt worth?' That made be chuckle."

Manchester United have already raided Bayern Munich once this summer, signing veteran midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger from the German champions.

Bayern Munich have set their face against Muller following his former team-mate to Old Trafford, but Van Gaal is not easily taking no for an answer from his former employers.
