Leeds United are now working overtime in an effort to agree personal terms with Fernando Forestieri and convince him to move to Elland Road.

The Whites have agreed a fee with Watford for the Argentina-born forward, reported to be around the £3m to £4m mark.

The agreement was pushed through by Leeds owner Massimo Cellino, who took personal charge of the push to sign Forestieri.

Now, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the decision solely rests on Forestieri.

The 25-year-old has not yet agreed personal terms with Leeds or signed off on a move to Elland Road.

Joining Leeds would mean dropping down a division for the forward and giving up on the hope of Premier League football at Watford this season.

However, the former Boca Juniors youth player has fallen down the pecking order at Watford and is likely to see his first team football limited if he stays put.

It remains to be seen whether any other clubs enter the chase and try to hijack Leeds' move for Forestieri.
