Inter Milan have slapped in an initial bid for out-of-favour Liverpool striker Fabio Borini.

The Nerazzurri have been on Borini’s trail for weeks, but were looking to close out deals for other targets before they made their move for the former Roma man.

Inter’s dilly-dallying did frustrate the 24-year-old, who is keen to leave Liverpool this summer and the club were expected to make a decision on their pursuit of the forward today.

And it seems Inter have finally made a concrete move for the striker as according to Sky Italia, they have tabled their first offer to Liverpool for Borini.

Inter have made an offer of around €6m along with bonuses worth €2m for the Liverpool striker and are now waiting for a reply from the Reds.

The Merseyside club are claimed to be asking for a fee of around €8m for Borini and Inter have come close to reaching the figure.

Borini also has offers from Sunderland and Watford, but the former Roma man is said to be keen to return to Italy in the current transfer window.

Lazio were waiting for Inter to lower their demands for Borini but with Inter making a concrete offer, it remains to be seen whether the Roman giants are coaxed into moving for Borini earlier than they were planning to.
