Former Celtic winger Wakaso Mubarak is set to be playing his football in La Liga this season as he is closing in on a move to Las Palmas.

The 25-year-old spent last term on loan at Celtic from Russian outfit Rubin Kazan, but has been on the lookout for a new club this summer.

He was poised to head to the Middle East with Al Ittihad, however the move did not materialise and now he is moving to Spain.

According to Sky Italia, the winger is set to travel to Spain tomorrow where he will undergo a medical with Las Palmas.

All being well, Wakaso will then sign a deal with the Spanish club and start a new adventure in La Liga.
