Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini is very eager to sign Dries Mertens from Napoli next summer, according to Italian daily Tuttosport.

Premier League outfits Liverpool and Southampton have also been linked with the winger, who has scored four goals and provided two assists in 12 appearances in all competitions for Napoli in the current campaign.

Mertens present contract with Napoli is set to expire in 2018, however, the Belgian international is stalling over a new deal at the Stadio San Paolo.

And it is believed that an offer in the region of €12m could enable Inter to rope in the attacker at the start of next season, with his agent having insisted Mertens will not move in the winter window.

Napoli had to shell out €9.5m to sign the 28-year-old from Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven in 2013.
