Leeds United want to snap up Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic in the current transfer window.

Whites boss Steve Evans, who is a die hard Celtic fan, is working on several potential deals along with club president Massimo Cellino.

Leeds have already extended Liam Bridcutt's loan from Sunderland this month, as well as snapping up winger Mustapha Carayol on another loan agreement, from Middlesbrough.

And according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds now want to add Celtic's Rogic to the mix, however they are eyeing a permanent deal rather than a loan. But Whites boss Evans is keeping quiet on his side's interest.

Rogic has recovered from injury issues to impress Celtic boss Ronny Deila this season and force his way into the team.

And it remains to be seen whether the Scottish champions will be prepared to allow the midfielder to head to Elland Road, where Evans sees him as the ideal number 10.

While Celtic are out of Europe, Deila is aiming to win the domestic treble with the Bhoys, a feat which eluded him last term.

Leeds may though test Celtic's resolve with an official bid, putting the ball in the Bhoys' court.
