Leeds United are giving Genoa serious opposition for 32-year-old Sassuolo striker Antonio Floro Flores.

Genoa had been in pole position to scoop up Floro Flores, taking him back to the club for a third spell, following stints in 2011 and then 2013.

But according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Leeds are now fighting Genoa and putting up stiff opposition for Floro Flores.

Leeds have already lodged an enquiry for Floro Flores and are now building on that, rivalling Genoa.

The Whites are keen to add to their attacking options before the transfer window slams shut, but have been frustrated shopping domestically, where an agreement with Norwich City for Kyle Lafferty remains out of reach, while a bid for Barnsley's Sam Winnall was rejected.
