Arsenal are ready to make a move for long term target and West Ham linked striker Alexandre Lacazette during the summer transfer window, it has been claimed.

The French forward has been linked with a move away from Lyon since last summer, and with the transfer window approaching the rumours about his potential departure are again on the rise.

Arsenal have been keeping an eye on the 24-year-old since last year, and according to French outlet Buzz Sport, the Gunners are ready to make a move for the forward during the summer transfer window.

Arsene Wenger is expected to be in the market for a forward and is said to have identified Lacazette as the man he wants to take to the Emirates before the start of the new season.

However, Arsenal are expected to face stiff competition from West Ham, who also have an eye on Lacazette, but the east Londoners are not ready to pay over the odds to sign the striker.

While Lyon are keen to pocket around €40m from the striker’s sale during the summer, it has been suggested that an offer of around €30m could do the trick for any club who want to sign the player.

Lacazette has scored 47 goals over the course of the last two seasons at Lyon and has a contract until 2019 with the club.
