Liverpool linked midfielder Piotr Zielinski believes he would form a fruitful partnership with Philippe Coutinho if he moves to Anfield in the summer.

The Pole was widely linked with a move to the Merseyside giants during the January transfer window, and Udinese rejected an offer from the Reds for the 21-year-old.

Currently playing on loan at Empoli, the midfielder has been in impressive form this season and has indicated that he is ready to make his next big career move during the summer transfer window.

And he is already a fan of Liverpool playmaker Coutinho, with whom he feels he would be able to form a strong partnership at Anfield if he eventually moves to Merseyside at the end of the season.

Talking about the Brazilian, Zielinski told Polish outlet Futbolfejs: “Coutinho is a great player, fast and creative, with great technical skills.

“I both admire and I learn from him a lot.

“We could form a nice duo, but time will tell, what will happen.”

The Brazilian has been in fine form for the Reds this season, and his nine goals and five assists have helped an inconsistent Liverpool side to move forward under Jurgen Klopp.
