Piotr Zielinski has admitted that Liverpool are keen on scooping up his signature in the summer, however he is determined not to be distracted by transfer talk ahead of Euro 2016, in which he expects to be turning out for Poland.

The Pole is currently on a loan spell at Empoli from Udinese in Italy and recently admitted that he would love to play alongside Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho at Anfield.

Talk is rife that Liverpool will make a move to sign the 21-year-old midfielder and he has suggested that claims the Reds want him are not too wide of the mark.

Indeed, Zielinski even admitted to having spoken to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

He explained to Polish outlet Sportowe Fakty: "There is much truth in the rumours about Liverpool – Jurgen Klopp is interested in me and we've had some talks."

But the Polish midfielder is not spending too much time pondering over a potential move to one of the Premier League's biggest clubs as he seeks to stay focused on the remainder of the season in Italy and then switch his attention to Euro 2016.

"I am not thinking about it right now too much. I still have some games to play for Empoli and then after that there's Euro 2016."

Zielinski, who has 13 caps to his name at international level with Poland, along with three goals, could increase his profile with a good display at Euro 2016 in France.

Empoli currently sit in eleventh spot in Serie A, while Zielinski's parent club, Udinese, are 16th.
