West Ham and Liverpool linked defender Benjamin Mendy is expected to complete his move to Monaco later today, according to French sports daily L’Equipe.

A product of the famous La Havre academy, the young defender has been catching the eye of many scouts with his performances for Marseille.

Liverpool recently lodged an enquiry with Marseille for Mendy and even West Ham were linked with a move for the full-back, but it has been claimed Monaco have won the chase for the 21-year-old.

It has been suggested that Monaco have agreed a fee worth €15m with Marseille for the signature of the player and the defender is expected to complete the switch later today.

Mendy will undergo a medical before signing a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 outfit to complete his move from Marseille to Monaco.
