Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda is rapidly closing in on a move to Crystal Palace after undergoing a medical with the Eagles.

Mandanda is set to move on from the Stade Velodrome this summer and looks poised to achieve his ambition of playing in the Premier League.

Everton recently entered the race in the hopes of tempting the France goalkeeper to Goodison Park, but it is Crystal Palace who are poised to win the race.

According to French sports daily L'Equipe, Palace's medical team headed to France's training base Clairefontaine yesterday to give the goalkeeper a medical.

The 31-year-old could now just be a matter of hours off putting pen to paper with Alan Pardew's side.

How long Mandanda's contract will run for is not clear, however the cost of the deal for the Eagles is claimed to be coming in at around the €2m mark.

Mandanda is currently with the France squad at Euro 2016 and is Les Bleus' backup to Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
