Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri is happy for striker Manolo Gabbiadini, who is wanted by Everton, to make a decision over his future.

Gabbiadini started for Napoli against Pescara in the side's opening match of the new Serie A season, but he was on the bench for the Azzurri's 4-2 win over AC Milan on Saturday night.

Sarri rates the 24-year-old and would like him to stay at Napoli, but he is happy for the striker to have the final say over where he feels his future would be best served.

"This [whether to stay or go] is what Manolo has to decide and I'm content", the Napoli coach told Sky Italia.

"He had a great match in Pescara, also because in the early stages his preparations suffered, he needs time", Sarri continued.

"If he stays then he is a player who is able to guarantee a good number of goals, but he will decide what is best for his career.

"I would encourage him to stay if he is strongly convinced, if he is not then he can rightly take another path."

Gabbiadini struggled for regular playing time at Napoli last season, but his chances may be boosted this term as Gonzalo Higuain has departed for Juventus.

He has fielded much interest from the Premier League, with Stoke City and West Ham United being linked, along with Everton.

The 24-year-old's contract with Napoli is due to run until the summer of 2019 and the Serie A side are claimed to be looking for around €25m if he is to leave before the window closes.
