Ravel Morrison could be set to return to English football before the transfer window slams shut on Wednesday night with three clubs chasing his services.

Lazio fans were looking forward to seeing the talented midfielder in action this season after Morrison worked hard over pre-season with the Rome side.

But coach Simone Inzaghi prefers other options and the former Manchester United starlet could be on the move back to the familiar surroundings of English football.

According to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, Morrison has interest from two Premier League teams in the shape of Hull City and Sunderland, while Championship outfit Nottingham Forest are also keen.

Morrison has also been linked with Newcastle United, but Magpies officials have played down the prospect of the midfielder plying his trade at St. James' Park this season.

The midfielder only moved to Lazio last year and clocked up eight appearances for the club in all competitions.

Morrison, 23, is under contract with the Serie A club until the summer of 2019.
