Napoli have no meeting arranged with Lorenzo Insigne, who has been linked with Liverpool, to discuss a new contract as the saga over the winger rumbles on.

It has been suggested the Napoli want Insigne to sign a new deal to commit his future to the club or they will consider selling him, with an asking price of €50m mooted.

And Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool have been strongly linked with the Italian, with claims that Insigne's agent was to meet the Reds.

According to Italian daily Il Mattino, Napoli so far have no meeting arranged with Insigne to discuss a new contract and do not consider one a priority.

Indeed, the Serie A side are looking to tie down other players to new contracts first and believe there is no rush to reach an agreement with Insigne as his current deal runs until 2019.

The lack of action on Napoli's part however is likely to add further fuel to talk that Insigne's future could ultimately lie elsewhere.

The 25-year-old, who has been capped on 12 occasions by Italy, has regularly been linked with a switch to the Premier League.

Napoli currently sit fifth in Serie A and lost 2-1 away at Juventus on Saturday.
