Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton have been told to forget about signing Hoffenheim striker Mark Uth.

Both Premier League clubs are keen on the hitman, who admitted at the weekend he has heard about their interest, though is fully focused on giving his best for Hoffenheim.

And if either Spurs or the Saints do come calling this month for Uth, they face disappointment, with the club's coach Julian Nagelsmann insisting he will not part with his goal threat.

"I would not let him go", was the 29-year-old's short response to German daily Bild on the question of a possible departure for Uth.

Uth missed a clutch of games through injury during the first half of the season, but still scored five goals in ten Bundesliga appearances.

And Nagelsmann will be hoping for more of the same in the second half of the campaign as he seeks to keep Hoffenheim in the European qualification spots.

Currently Hoffenheim sit in fifth spot in the Bundesliga after collecting 28 points from their opening 16 games.

It remains to be seen if the Bundesliga club's resolve over keeping Uth is tested.
