Genk starlet Leon Bailey has agreed personal terms with Bayer Leverkusen, but the clubs are yet to find an agreement, according to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws.

The 19-year-old, who has been in tremendous form in the present campaign, has also been linked with a clutch of Premier League outfits, including most recently Merseyside duo Everton and Liverpool.

Bailey has thus far scored eight goals and provided 10 assists in 35 appearances in all competitions this season and has been tipped to leave Genk in January.

The Belgian outfit are not keen to see the youngster leave this month after losing defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi to Leicester City earlier in the transfer window.

Leverkusen admitted their interest in Bailey earlier this week, but denied making a bid.

But it seems Leverkusen are close to signing Bailey, with the Jamaican already reaching a personal agreement with the Bundesliga outfit.

However, the clubs are yet to agree on a deal and it is unclear if the German side are willing to pay Genk’s £20m asking price for the teenager.

Bailey, who missed Genk’s training on Sunday, joined the club from Slovakian side Trencin in 2015.

It remains to be seen if Everton or Liverpool rival Leverkusen for his signature.
