In-demand Genk winger Leon Bailey could yet end up in the Premier League, where he has been linked with Everton and Liverpool, despite Bayer Leverkusen appearing to close in on his capture.

It has been claimed that Leverkusen have a personal term agreement with the winger and it did appear Bailey would switch to the Bundesliga when a transfer fee was thrashed out.

But the move to Germany is not done and dusted and, according to Belgian outlet Voetbal Krant, there is still every chance Bailey could end up in the Premier League this month.

It is claimed a Premier League side are firmly in the mix, having put in a bid for the winger and also themselves reached an agreement on personal terms.

Bailey would earn more if he moves to England.

No names have been revealed as to the club in question, but Everton and Liverpool have been most recently linked with the winger.

However, Manchester United, Chelsea and Stoke City have also been mooted as suitors, with Bailey's displays having attracted the attention of a host of Premier League sides.

Leverkusen will hope they can win the race for the Jamaican though and they are putting in the legwork to do just that.
