Pontus Jansson has hailed the impact new owner Andrea Radrizzani has had on Leeds United, saying the Whites are much more professional under the Italian businessman and especially noting the improvement in the food on offer.

Leeds started last season still under the ownership of Massimo Cellino, though the Italian sold half of his shareholding to countryman Radrizzani in the new year.

Radrizzani then bought Cellino out completely in the summer and set about revamping the club, appointing key members of staff, buying back and improving Elland Road, and also making a number of other changes behind the scenes.

The result, Jansson feels, is a much more professionally run club.

And the Sweden international is especially delighted with the appointment of a new chef, insisting that food matters to the players and it has improved vastly under Radrizzani.

"The new owner Andrea is really professional", Jansson explained at a press conference.

"He wants to listen and learn. He has his staff around him so he doesn't take all the decisions himself; he has good people around him, I think that's the most important thing.

"I have only good things to say about Andrea.

"He really loves this club, he's thinking in all directions, the players' direction, the fans, the staff, thinking about everyone.

"It's much more professional than last year – I can't talk about the years before.

"It's much more professional now, a lot has changed, Elland Road, the training ground, the food.

"The food may be a small thing for you, but for a player it's important.

"The food now is fantastic.

"There's a new chef. It's much better now.

"The small things, but recovery in this league is really important, and food is one of the things to recover well.

"I've only got good things to say about Andrea and he's made a huge difference to the club", the centre-back added.

Radrizzani has become popular with the Leeds faithful within a short period of time, helped by the Whites excelling on the pitch and enjoying a strong start to the new Championship season.
