Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has approved the departure of Samu Saiz.

The Spanish attacking midfielder is wanted by La Liga club Getafe and is keen to head home, along with his pregnant wife.

Getafe are confident of completing a six-month loan deal soon, with the agreement also giving the Madrid-based club an option to make Saiz's move a permanent one in the summer.

Leeds are resigned to losing Saiz, who wants to head back to Spain.

And, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Bielsa has now given the green light to his departure, seemingly not wanting to keep an unhappy player.

The transfer saga is moving quickly and all the indications are that Getafe will soon secure the signature of the 27-year-old.

Saiz joined Leeds in 2017 from Huesca and quickly made an impact, standing out in the Whites team.

However, he has struggled to hit the same heights this season and his association with the Whites, at least until the summer, looks to be approaching its end.
