Sporting Lisbon are the only club to have made a firm move for Alaves winger Ibai Gomez, who has been linked with Leeds United.

The Whites could look to add players in the January transfer window after head coach Marcelo Bielsa changed his tune regarding reinforcements.

Alaves star Gomez, who worked with Bielsa at Athletic Bilbao, has been linked with Leeds.

But according to Portuguese daily Record, citing a source in Spain, Sporting Lisbon are so far the only club to go forward with an approach for Gomez.

It remains to be seen if the capital club can succeed in tempting Gomez to continue his career across the border in Portugal.

Gomez has clocked 18 appearances across all competitions for Alaves in the current campaign, netting three times and providing two assists in La Liga.

Leeds recently saw attacking midfielder Samu Saiz depart for La Liga, joining Getafe on a six-month loan deal with a view to a permanent move.

If the Whites see Gomez as a replacement they may need to move quickly, following Sporting Lisbon's approach.
