Tottenham Hotspur scouts watched Ivan Perisic and Joachim Andersen when Inter took on Sampdoria on Sunday, continuing their efforts to run the rule over targets plying their trade in the Italian top flight.

The north London outfit have gone back to back transfer windows without signing a player, but have been closely monitoring Perisic and Andersen.

They had scouts taking in the Inter-Sampdoria game, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, with the duo closely watched.

Inter ran out 2-1 winners in the Serie A clash at the San Siro, with all three goals arriving inside the final 20 minutes.

Tottenham decided to extend Toby Alderweireld’s contract by a further year until 2020, but the extension means that the Belgian now has a release clause of £25m, which will apply in the summer.

With Alderweireld’s future at the club unclear, the club see Andersen as a potential replacement.

Perisic was linked with Tottenham in January, but was viewed as a potential summer signing.

The club’s scouts also watched AC Milan duo Suso and Franck Kessie in action.

Suso has featured 23 times for AC Milan in the Serie A this season, and has mustered five goals and eight assists, while Kessie has predominantly featured in central midfield and has scored three times in 22 appearances.
