Eden Hazard has admitted that Manchester United’s interest in his services is welcome, following the news that Sir Alex Ferguson went to watch the 21-year-old in action at the weekend.

Ferguson took in Lille’s 2-1 defeat away to Lyon and the veteran manager’s interest in the Belgian is an open secret, with Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp claiming to be well aware of the fact.

Hazard has admitted that a switch to England will be his next move and Lille coach Rudi Garcia is resigned to losing the forward in the summer.

Just where Hazard might end up is still unclear – but the Belgian has welcomed glances from Manchester United.

Asked whether the Red Devils are a club that interests him, Hazard told La Voix du Nord: "Of course, this is a club that excites everyone, but for now my focus is on Lille.

"But yes, it is a pleasure to be watched by one of the best coaches in the world, if not the best."

Hazard has played 27 games in Ligue 1 this season for Lille and scored eleven goals. His heroics though look unlikely to be enough for the northern France side to retain their title.

Lille are now third in Ligue 1, but eleven points adrift of leaders Paris Saint-Germain. Indeed, the focus for Garcia’s men is now a top three finish and the Champions League football that would guarantee.
