Wealthy Anzhi Makhachkala are ready to make a €10M bid for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech next month, according to Russian daily Sovetsky Sport.

The Russian Premier League side believe that Chelsea may be open to allowing the Czech Republic shot-stopper to leave for the right price, as in Thibaut Courtois they have a ready-made replacement.

Courtois is currently on loan at Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid, but the Belgian has made a big splash in what is now his second successive season in La Liga.

Courtois is rated as one of the finest goalkeepers in the Spanish top flight and his name has even been floated as a candidate to become Iker Casillas' long-term successor at Real Madrid.

There is little indication that Chelsea want to sell Courtois however and, with the player opposed to heading back to Stamford Bridge to warm the bench or be loaned elsewhere, selling Cech would allow the Blues to slot the custodian straight in between the sticks.

It remains to be seen how Chelsea will react to an offer for Cech, but Anzhi Makhachkala would make the 30-year-old a lucrative contract to move to Russia.

Guus Hiddink's men are currently level on points at the top of the Russian Premier League, with CSKA Moscow.
