Lyon are ready to accept as little as €10M for in-form striker Bafetimbi Gomis, according to French radio station RMC.

Gomis has been widely linked with making an exit from the Stade Gerland during this month’s transfer window, with both Chelsea and Liverpool having checked up on his availability and scouted him consistently of late.

The pair cannot help but be impressed by what they have seen from the 27-year-old, who has made life extremely difficult for Ligue 1 defences, scoring eleven goals in 19 games and powering Lyon’s title push.

But the French giants are pressed financially, with funding an expensive new stadium having forced the priority to be placed on youth, as well as player sales.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has made noises over selling Gomis and it is thought he is ready to accept a bid of €10M.

Such an amount is well within reach for Chelsea and Liverpool, while lately Italian champions Juventus have been mooted as joining the race.

Gomis did recently express his hope that he might be able to finish the season at Lyon.

The striker though is unlikely to turn down the chance to move to one of Europe’s powerhouses if given the opportunity.
