Christian Eriksen’s agent has declared it to be all quiet on the transfer front involving his client, though he does not believe the starlet’s suitors have lost interest.

The Ajax playmaker is hot property and has been linked with a number of clubs, especially considering his contract at the Amsterdam ArenA expires in the summer of 2014.

Should Eriksen not sign a new deal before the end of the season, Ajax will be faced with having one of the most promising players in world football on a contract which has just a year left to run.

Eriksen has been strongly linked with the English Premier League, where he has admitted interest from Liverpool flattered him, while Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has acknowledged he has his eyes on the playmaker.

But in the current window all is calm, Eriksen’s agent Martin Schoots has told Bold.dk.

"In the past few weeks, also because of the holidays, everything has been quiet in the press about Christian, which is something he is far from sorry about.

"I’m not saying it means that people are no longer interested. It would be strange if the clubs that have tracked him since he was 14 were no longer interested.

"But he is making good progress and for the third season in a row he has increased his goal tally."

And Schoots insists that, while Eriksen is remaining very much focused on the pitch, developments on the transfer front cannot be ruled out, with football an unpredictable business.

"Christian will only concentrate on his football", he said, "although you never know what can happen."
