Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has left the door open for Stevan Jovetic to depart the club over the summer by admitting that his future at La Viola very much depends on where the team finish in Serie A this season.

Jovetic is La Viola’s star man and has been consistently chased by clubs in England, with Arsenal and Manchester City mooted as his two keenest suitors at present.

Fiorentina have struck a stubborn note, with the Montenegrin central to coach Vincenzo Montella’s plans.

But if a big money bid arrives in the summer and La Viola have not secured Champions League football for next season, it remains possible he could be sold.

And Prade has been unable to offer any clarification over Jovetic’s future, simply tying it to Fiorentina’s performance this season.

"We’re talking seriously with his agent at the moment", the sporting director told Fiorentinanews.com.

"We will see what happens from here until the end of the season.

"It depends on where we finish in the league, our goals for the future and other things."

Should Fiorentina decide to sell the talented 23-year-old, they are likely to find no shortage of sides willing to fork out the required fee to sign the forward.

The player did recently warn foreign suitors however that he is currently minded to remain in Italy.
