Christian Eriksen has lavished praise upon Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp in a clear "come-and-get-me" plea to the German tactician.

The Danish playmaker is at the centre of a rapidly unfolding summer transfer saga, with current club Ajax open to cashing in for the right price.

Dortmund, along with English Premier League giants Liverpool, are leading the race for Eriksen’s signature, although at points over the last year the Denmark international has seen Manchester United, Inter, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle all linked with launching a bid.

Of late Eriksen has spoken positively about joining Dortmund and, with Klopp having already registered his interest in the playmaker with Ajax coach Frank de Boer, the midfielder has now praised the German boss.

"Klopp strikes me as a very good coach and a good man", Eriksen told Sporten.

"A charismatic coach with a penchant for young players could mean a lot to me. Klopp is largely responsible for the success of Dortmund through the integration of many talents.

"It is important for me to have a coach who I trust and with who I can develop a good relationship."

Eriksen’s contract at Ajax expires in the summer of 2014. He helped the side to a third consecutive Dutch Eredivisie title this season.
