Liverpool outcast Oussama Assaidi is open to a loan switch to Feyenoord, with his chances of playing time at Anfield in the coming season not tipped to improve.

Feyenoord’s interest in taking the former Heerenveen man back to the Eredivisie first emerged at the start of this month and the Dutch side have received encouraging signs.

Now, according to Voetbal International, Assaidi is very much open to the idea of spending next season at De Kuip under Ronald Koeman’s guidance.

The 24-year-old joined Liverpool from Heerenveen last summer, with the Reds beating Ajax to his signature.

The winger was tipped to make an impact in the Premier League, but found playing time at a premium under manager Brendan Rodgers.

The Moroccan is keen to get back in the saddle and play on a regular basis, something Feyenoord can offer.

It remains to be seen if any permanent purchase option could be included in any loan agreement.
