Chelsea, Monaco and Inter are the three clubs bidding to snap up Kurt Zouma from Saint-Etienne this month.

Zouma is a wanted man and has long been linked with a switch away from Les Verts, his performances for France in last summer's Under-20 World Cup only increasing his stock.

Saint-Etienne managed to keep hold of the 19-year-old centre-back during the summer, but face a real battle to repeat the trick in the current transfer window.

Club CEO Roland Romeyer has conceded that there is concrete interest in Zouma, however pledged he will be kept for the second half of the season.

There could be a formula which allows a sale to take place but still makes good on that promise however.

According to Eurosport, Chelsea, Monaco and Inter are all in for Zouma and, should he be sold, he could be loaned back to Saint-Etienne to complete the season.

All the trio have held talks with Les Verts over the defensive talent, though it is believed Inter are slightly ahead in the race.

Whether Zouma himself will consent to a move this month is unclear however, as he has previously said he will stay put.
