Liverpool linked defender Aymen Abdennour has said that he would love to play for a big club in the future, but has left his fate in Monaco's hands.

The Monaco centre half has been linked with a host of clubs across Europe and his agent has confirmed that a number of sides have registered their interest in his client.




Premier League clubs such as Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle are keen on Abdennour and European giants such as Juventus and Bayern Munich have also shown a liking for the defender.

With more than four years left on his contract with Monaco, the club are unlikely to let the player go without resistance and Abdennour admits the Ligue 1 side have a big role to play in deciding his future.
 


“For me the situation is very clear”, Abdennour told Italian daily Tuttosport.

“I have a contract that binds me to Monaco, so it is not for me to decide.”

However, the Tunisian international stressed that he would love to have the opportunityto play  for a big club and admits that an offer from one of the powerhouses of European football would be hard to resist.

“But I can definitely say that I try to improve every day and I would love to play in big club, the likes of which you are talking about.

“I am ready for anything; so if a team, that one cannot refuse, present an offer, well…..”

The 25-year-old is an established international and has earned 41 caps for Tunisia.
