Paris Saint-Germain are set to step up on their interest in Tottenham Hotspur target Vincent Janssen in the upcoming days, according to French sports daily L’Equipe.

The French champions confirmed Unai Emery’s appointment as their new manager yesterday, and the club are now keen to get on with their transfer plans for the summer.




A striker has been on the agenda for PSG since before Emery landed, and AZ Alkmaar forward Janssen is believed to be one of their top targets for the transfer window.

Tottenham also held talks with the player and his representatives recently, but AZ rejected their initial offer for the Dutchman, paving the way for PSG to enter the chase.
 


The French champions have been in talks with AZ over a proposed deal for the 22-year-old striker, and it has been claimed, the club are set to step up on their efforts for Janssen.

Tottenham are still in the chase for the Dutch forward, but are yet to table an improved offer for Janssen after failing with their first attempt recently.

Janssen scored 27 goals in his first season in the Eredivisie, and attracted the attention of the top clubs across Europe.

AZ are demanding a fee of around €20m for a player who just joined the club last summer.
