Napoli are making a push to beat West Ham United to the signing of Juventus striker Simone Zaza.

The Italy hitman recently saw a proposed move to Wolfsburg fall through after he was disappointed with the Bundesliga club's contract offer, but he is still expected to be on the move this summer.

West Ham are leading the chase, a destination talked up by Zaza's father, and are expected to slap in a loan with purchase option bid for the striker imminently.

Now Napoli are launching a push for Zaza and according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, last season's Serie A runners-up have offered Juventus €25m.

Juventus are reluctant to strengthen Serie A competitiors, but have signalled they will take €30m plus €5m in bonus payments from the Azzurri.

Talks are set to continue and it has been suggested that if Napoli hit the €28m mark with their next offer then Zaza could be theirs.

It remains to be seen how West Ham respond, but the Hammers have the advantage of being a club Juventus would be keener to sell to, as they are not in direct competition.
