Marseille are open to selling striker Loic Remy for as little as €10M, the player’s agent has claimed.

Remy is considered Marseille’s most talented goal-poacher, but has struggled so far this season, initially missing time through injury and then when back failing to hit the back of the net with the regularity expected.

Indeed, in Ligue 1, Remy has so far played eight games without scoring a single goal; he has though found the back of the net twice in the Europa League.

The 25-year-old attracted attention over the summer, with strong interest from Chelsea, who continue to track him, while Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with an approach at points over the last 18 months, and had him watched earlier this season. Remy also claimed to know talks were taking place between Marseille and Spurs in August.

Marseille have consistently fought to keep hold of the speedy forward, but now, things could have changed.

"OM needs money and he is a logical sale", Remy’s agent Bruno Satin told Le 10 Sport.

"If an offer of around €10M comes, they will let him go."

The news that Remy could be picked up for a bargain price is sure to be music to the ears of interested parties.

The France international joined Marseille in the summer of 2010 from Nice for a fee in the region of €15M.

Much has changed at the Stade Velodrome since then however, with budget cuts forcing Marseille to look at selling players.

Defensive rock Stephane Mbia was one casualty over the summer, sold to English Premier League club QPR.
