Wesley Sneijder has denied that Liverpool have made a bid for his services.

It has been reported in Italy that the Reds are interested in snapping up Sneijder, with some quarters even claiming Liverpool have lodged a bid for the former Real Madrid star.

But Sneijder, who took time out to similarly deny that he had all but agreed to join Tottenham Hotspur recently, has again insisted that no deal is done.

Asked about talk Liverpool have bid for him by Dutch daily the Algemeen Dagblad, Sneijder had a curt reply: "Again, no truth [in it]", he said.

It does seem clear Sneijder will be leaving Inter in next month’s transfer window, with the Dutchman having refused to sign a new contract which would reduce his wages from €6M per year to €4M per year.

As a result he has been frozen out at the Nerazzurri and has made just five appearances in Serie A.

Sneijder has admitted he wants a move, but insists he is looking for a "beautiful transfer".

He has also been linked with Anzhi Makhachkala, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Schalke and Zenit St. Petersburg.
