Arsenal have sounded out Sebastian Giovinco's agent over the player's availability as they bid to increase their attacking options following Theo Walcott's season-ending injury.

Walcott has been ruled out of action for six months, ending his participation for the Gunners this season, something which has caused Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to admit he must "accelerate" his transfer plans.

Giovinco has been linked with leaving the Bianconeri as playing time as been at a premium; Parma and Liverpool have been consistently mooted as potential destinations for the 26-year-old.

Giovinco's agent has steadfastly declared his client's desire to remain at Juventus and push for first team football, though it remains to be seen if this is the answer he has provided Arsenal with.

The Italian, who can also operate as a secondary striker, has made eight appearances in Serie A this term.
