French giants Paris Saint-Germain are considering entering the race for Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero.

The Spaniard is expected to leave the Bernabeu this winter after falling out of favour under Jose Mourinho and has already been linked with a number of sides.

English Premier League outfit Arsenal lead the chase, while Malaga may offer to keep Granero in La Liga and Roma, under former Barcelona B coach Luis Enrique, are ready to take the 24-year-old to Serie A.

Now, according to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser, Paris Saint-Germain have asked for information on Granero’s availability and the terms that would be required to take him from the Bernabeu.

Sporting director Leonardo has been overseeing a cash-fuelled revolution at the Parc des Princes and PSG have seen their name linked with some of the brightest talents in world football.

Money would be no object if PSG did choose to push ahead to sign Granero, who is valued at €9M by Los Blancos, although with David Beckham expected to land in the French capital, coach Antoine Kombouare would have a surfeit of midfielders to pick from.

For Granero too, moving to a side where he will enjoy regular first team football is a primary consideration, with just two La Liga games under his belt so far this term.
